For our first post we wanted to share a little bit about ourselves. Mark and I met in high school, attended colleges a couple thousand miles away from each other, then got married shortly after. Prior to moving to Bend in 2006, we taught high school and coached football and volleyball in Northern California. Once we landed in Bend Mark started a construction business and I began working in the Professional Banking Department at Bank of the Cascades. (now Treasury Management at First Interstate Bank) In my 10 years of banking I had the opportunity work with business clients, government entities and various types of organizations. I also served on the board of the Family Access Network Foundation for 10 years and was the Chair for the final 2 years of my term. Mark managed and maintained hundreds of properties all over Oregon, Washington, and Ohio. This involved coordinating contractors to do various jobs at these properties. Those contractor relationships have proven helpful with our property management business here in Bend, especially with regard to handling maintenance requests quickly!
We have been blessed with two wonderful daughters. In my effort to focus more on our family I retired from the banking industry in 2014 and began managing our own rental properties. This is when the light bulb turned on that I wanted to get my property management license. After Mark sold his business he joined me and together we own and operate Brooke Garcia Property Management LLC (BGPM). Our goal is to provide quality service to our clients and tenants. Our different skill sets have aligned perfectly for success in this industry and we enjoy helping others succeed with owning investment properties in Central Oregon.
We love all that Bend has to offer: nature, recreation, sunshine, a safe place to raise our girls….Our hobbies include golf, gardening, cooking, and being involved in whatever our girls are doing. We are so grateful that we get to work together in a town we love while helping others. BGPM continues to support Family Access Network and various other charitable organizations in Bend because this community means so much to us.
We will post about property management, what’s going on in our local rental market, and other real estate related topics. But we will also post about things of interest to us that are totally unrelated to real estate: favorite recipes, places and events in Bend, home improvement tips, building wealth, favorite books, etc. Thank you for reading our first post!
